Gladys Callie DeBerry, 95, of Boykins, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 1996, at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Emporia. She was a native of Southampton County and daughter of the late John Fletcher and Josephine Vick Bryant. Mrs. DeBerry was a member of Branchville United Methodist Church and was widow of Ashby Carl DeBerry.
She is survived by a son, Milton F. DeBerry of Franklin; a brother, Roger Reese Bryant of Conway; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was mother of the late Carl Linwood DeBerry, Francis Foster DeBerry, Josephine D. Overby and John Howard DeBerry.
Funeral services will be held in Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins Chapel on Monday, Jan. 15, 1996, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. John Davenport. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
