Regarding the layoff of 40,000 workers at AT&T: A company which shows so little concern for its employees cannot be much more concerned with its customers. As of today, I have switched to a different long-distance service.
Large corporations need to understand that their employees are their customers and their customers are their employees. A company should not profit by discarding its work force like an old glove, American workers should not allow this immoral act to occur.
