Amzy Marion Hord, 82, of the first block of Woodland Court, died Jan. 13, 1996, in Suffolk.
Mr. Hord, a native of Cherokee Falls, S.C., was retired from Norfolk Naval Air Station as an aviation metalsmith. He was a member of Cradock United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Louise B. Hord; two daughters, Barbara J. Simpson of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Carolyn J. Salter of Irmo, S.C.; a son, Stanley R. Hord of Edenton, N.C.; a sister, Geneva Grimes of Kannapolis, N.C.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A mausoleum chapel service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum by the Rev. Michael Robbins. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family suggests that memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Hampton Roads Chapter. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is in charge.
