Thomas McEachin Sr., of the 1000 block of Norchester Ave., died Nov. 12, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. McEachin had retired as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a native of Rose Hill, N.C., and a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street, Norfolk. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Thomasine Edens of Norfolk; a son, Thomas McEachin Jr. of Norfolk; his mother, Bonnie McEachin; a sister, Francis McEachin Holiday of Norfolk; a brother, Keith McEachin of Norfolk; a granddaughter, Kim McEachin Daniels; a special niece, Taura Paige Brewer; and a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church, Bute Street, by the Rev. Robert Murray. The remains will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. and the family will assemble at 900 Lamont St. on the day of the service. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
