June Miller Skeen, 75, of the 1600 block of Morris Ave., died Jan. 13, 1996.
Mrs. Skeen was retired from receipt control for the Civil Service N.O.B. department. She had been retired for 20 years. Mrs. Skeen, the daughter of the late Isaac Garfield Miller and Margaret Ramey Miller, had resided in Norfolk since 1944. She was the widow of William S. Skeen and a native of Dante, Va. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Kaye Skeen Beaver of Roanoke, Va.; two sons, Tommy Skeen and Dickie Skeen, both of Norfolk; a sister, Margaret M. Warren of Manassas, Va.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Herschel, Leon, and Ike Miller.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Mark Pullen. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
