Raymond K. ``Woody'' Woodard, 83, of the 2200 block of Richmond Ave., died Jan. 15, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Woodard was born in Norfolk and was a Methodist. He had retired from the Naval Ammunition Depot in Portsmouth. He was the son of the late Walter V. Woodard and Arlena Z. Woodard.
Survivors include his wife, Cora Jones Woodard; two sisters, Irma Woodard Smith and Agnes Woodard Wax, both of Portsmouth; two nieces, Dr. Cheryl Wax Creager of Portsmouth and Jerri Irma Pye of Norfolk; a great-niece, Kathy Janowski of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a brother-in-law, William C. Smith of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. Robert F. Cofield Jr. and the Rev. David Jendrey. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice.
