Emma Lee Dennison, 86, formerly of the 800 block of Burksdale Road, Norfolk, died Jan. 14, 1996, in Miami, Fla.
Mrs. Dennison was born in Hope Mills, N.C., and was the widow of Newell Lowder and James W. Dennison. She was a retired department manager for Center Shop after 17 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol D. Haught of Miami; a son, Brian K. Lowder of Miami; a sister, Ida Frazier of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a brother, Robert Fort of Albemarle, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Melba Butler of Jackson, Tenn.; and beloved nieces and nephews in Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee.
A funeral will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Honorable Hal J. Bonney Jr. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. to receive friends. Friends may send flowers or make contributions to the American Lung Association or American Heart Fund.
