As a citizen of Virginia Beach, I am very concerned at the future plans for Seashore State Park.
I live in Baylake Pines and travel the road going to the Oceanfront, both day and night. Such a scenic, peaceful drive is a rare commodity in our busy city. Realizing the dangers that lurk , I drive the road very carefully.
Noticing all the trees marked for removal to straighten this road, very quickly we will lose what many of us look forward to as we drive this way.
Do all of us have to sacrifice for the speeders and drunken drivers? Will a straighter road curb their bad habits - or encourage them?
I think we can get better results another way. Please save our trees!
