Francell Maurice ``Superchicken'' Penn Sr., of the 3700 block of Colonial Avenue, died Jan. 13, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. Penn, a former longshoreman, worked for Local (NU)1248. He was a native of Norfolk.
Survivors include three sons, Francell Maurice Penn Jr., Eric Dion Penn, both of Norfolk, and Tremayne Francell Williams of Virginia Beach; his parents, Mary Louise Penn and Isiah Walter Penn, both of Norfolk; three sisters, Terry Lucas of Chesapeake, Malesia Williams of Virginia Beach, and Monica Penn of Norfolk; four brothers, Jerome Penn of Chesapeake, Mark Penn of Virginia Beach, Darryl Penn and Shelton Penn, both of Norfolk; grandmother, Alice Turner of Norfolk; three grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in New Hope United Church of Christ, 3232 Brest Ave., Norfolk, by Dr. Herman Clark Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake.
