Duane E. Markham, 67, of the 5700 block of Portsmouth Blvd., died Jan. 15, 1996.
Mr. Markham, a native of Yates Center, Kan., was retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard Design Division as a design engineer. He was a graduate of Deep Creek High School and had a engineering degree from William and Mary. He was a professional musician for 35 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Markham Smith of Virginia Beach; a son, Lonnie D. Markham; two stepsons, Carl and Richard; two brothers, Gary W. Markham of Chesapeake, Kenneth R. Markham of Portsmouth; a grandson, Robert Smith.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Meadowbrook Mausoleum Chapel by the Rev. Rick Hocker. Entombment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
