Mary Ellen Robinson, 85, of the 4800 block of Lone Willow Lane, died Jan. 12, 1996, in Sentara Bayside Hospital.
She was a practical nurse for the state of Massachusetts and was a native of Lynn, Mass. She was the widow of Lawrence E. Robinson and was a Catholic.
She is survived by a daughter, Elaine R. Jelley of Virginia Beach and her husband, Edwin H. Jelley; granddaughter, Ellen M. Jelley of Virginia Beach; and three grandsons, John H. Jelley, Douglas B. Jelley, Gregory L. Jelley, and his wife, Kathleen M. Jelley, all of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday by Father Joseph Ceriello in Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek Chapel, Virginia Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Davis Corner Volunteer Rescue Squad, 4672 Haygood Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, in charge.
