ESTELLE RICHMOND

Estelle Richmond died Jan. 8, 1996, in her home in Margate. She was 83.

She had retired after many years of service as a secondary school educator in New York City. She was a frequent visitor to Norfolk, enthusiastically participating in its rich cultural life and Chesapeake Bay sailing.

She is survived by her daughter, Isabelle Richmond, M.D., who resides in Hampton Roads; her grandson, Jim Faeder, who is a 1987 graduate of Norfolk Academy; and her daughter, Alice, and her family who reside in Boston.

A memorial service will be held in New York City on Feb. 11, 1996. The family requests that a donation to the Virginia Opera be considered in lieu of flowers.
