C. Ernest ``Jelly'' Jordan Sr., 81, of the 5000 block of School Road, died Jan. 15, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Jordan, a retired sales manager, worked for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. in the Newport News and Portsmouth Plant. He retired in 1976. Mr. Jordan, a native of Covington, Va., was a member of Corinthian Masonic Lodge (NU)266 A.F.&A.M., Bayside Masonic Lodge (NU)218 A.F.&A.M., Norfolk Scottish Rite Bodies, Khedive Temple of the Shrine, and past president of Portsmouth Cosmopolitan Club.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret L. Jordan; two sons, Charles E. Jordan Jr. of Atlanta, W. Lewis Jordan of Virginia Beach; five sisters, Ruth J. Whitehurst of Norfolk, Dorothy J. Faust of Richmond, Mildred J. Loftin of Norfolk, Jean J. Taylor and Frances Anne J. Roberts, both of Virginia Beach; a brother, Lloyd M. Jordan of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Lorie J. Strickland of Allentown, Pa., Andrew E. Jordan and Christopher L. Jordan, both of Chesapeake. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert F. Jordan.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Dr. Harry T. Dixon. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Chesapeake Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad.
