JAMES A. HASSON JR.

James A. Hasson Jr., 73, died Jan. 16, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.

He was a retired construction superintendent and a native of Chattanooga, Tenn. He was a charter member of Kempsville Church of God and a U.S. Naval veteran of World War II. He was also a member of Carpenters Local (NU)613.

He is survived by his wife, Christine B. Hasson; two sons, James A. Hasson III of Union City, Ga., Frank Garrett of Lexington, Va.; sister, Helen Butch of Norfolk; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and a niece, Margie Peay of Norfolk.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Harvey Turner Jr. in Kempsville Church of God. Burial is in Oakland Christian Church Cemetery, Chuckatuck, Va. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m.
