JAMES S. HAWKINS JR.

James Sterling Hawkins Jr., of the 4700 block of Loxham Court, died Jan. 15, 1996, in DePaul Hospital.

Mr. Hawkins, a native of Little Rock, Ark., was a member of St. Bartharlomew in Little Rock.

Survivors include his wife, Mary L. Hawkins; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann Hawkins, Nicola Lucille Ayars, and Diana Maria Fanning, all of Virginia Beach; three sons, Larry Vincent Hawkins Sr. of Virginia Beach, Thomas Claborne Hawkins of Little Rock, and James Sterling Hawkins III of New York; his stepmother, Jessie Mae Hawkins of Little Rock; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and long time Navy buddies and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Maxine Hawkins.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Carlos A. Howard Funeral Chapel by Bishop Anthony Moses. The family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. for the procession.
