HENRY R. HARPER

Henry R. Harper, 64, of the 100 block of Welch Lane, died Jan. 15, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

Mr. Harper was a retired employee from Tidewater Mack Truck Inc., where he worked for 23 years. Mr. Harper, a native of Norfolk County, Va., was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Great Bridge Congregation, Chesapeake.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Harper; four daughters, Annette D. Ruffin and Joyce Lee Harper-Rich, both of Norfolk, Jacqulin D. Ruffin of Virginia Beach, and Jeanette D. Meekins of Chesapeake; six sons, Henry E. Harper of Stafford, Va., Michael A. Harper of Wendell, N.C., Reginald E. Harper of Virginia Beach, Antonio M. Harper, Andrea A. Harper and Drexter R. Harper, all of Chesapeake; grandmother, LaRosa Warden of Norfolk; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a host of relatives; six daughters-in-law; four sons-in-law; and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 681 Oak Grove Road, Chesapeake, by Speaker Roy Pallette. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. The body will be taken to the Kingdom Hall at noon Thursday.
