SAILOR FOUND DEAD

The body of a sailor was found in the water near Pier 11 at Norfolk Naval Station Tuesday morning and Navy officials are investigating the cause of death, a spokesman reported.

He was identified as Freeman Louis Robinson Jr. of Gary, Ind.

Robinson was a third-class petty officer stationed aboard the Norfolk-based oiler Platte. His body was found at 11:45 a.m. by port operations personnel. by CNB
