CLAUDIE WOODLEY JR.

Claudie Woodley Jr., 68, of 6600 Poe Court, died Jan. 16, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General.

He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Air Station. He was born in Windsor, N.C., to the late Claudie and Pennie Woodley. He was a member of New Hope C.O.G.I.C., 3232 Brest Ave., where he was a member of the Board of Trustees. He was a member of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Francis Woodley of the home; four daughters, Carolyn J. Woodley-Horne, Jacqueline Woodley Campbell, Kathy D. Drew, Sylvia E. Woodley; six sons, Harold D. Woodley, Kenneth A. Woodley, Claude C. Woodley, Lawrence E. Woodley, Thomas V. Woodley, Tracy O. Woodley; four sisters, Sylvia Cherry, Naomi Haywood, Frances Draft, Barbara Cherry; brother, Alfred Woodley; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by Dr. Herman Clark Sr. in New Hope C.O.G.I.C. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday from 2 until 8 p.m. The family will receive friends at Riddick Funeral Home Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and at other times at the residence.
