Clarence Lee Baines, 69, a native of Newport News, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 1996, at Riverside Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Baines retired from C & O Railroad. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Norma J. Baines; five children, Dennis L. Baines of Newport News, Steven K. Baines of Corapeake, N.C., Kevin W. Baines of Gloucester, Glenda F. Baines of Newport News, and Barry K. Baines of Newport News; his mother, Etta M. Baines of Corapeake, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Peninsula Memorial Park by the Rev. W. Joseph Winfree.
