Inez ``Sister'' Smith, 84, of 1006 of Barney St. in the Huntersville section of Norfolk, went home to receive her crown on Jan. 18, 1996.
She retired from Suburban Lanes in Norfolk where she was the Custodian and Resident Child-Care Specialist for over 25 years. During her retirement, she involved herself in many social activities and continued to be an active member of Enoch Baptist Church, where she worshiped for many years. At Enoch, she served on the Womens Usher Board, Church Missionary Board and other church auxiliaries.
She is survived by her goddaughter, Amece M. Scott, and her two godgrandsons, Billie D. Wilbert and Dominic Wilbert. Services will be held at noon Tuesday at Graves Funeral Home Chapel, Church St., with the Rev. Michael Daniels, Pastor of Enoch Baptist Church, officiating. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, and the family will assemble at the residence on the day of the service. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
