Millson W. Derring, 86, of the 1000 block of Fleming Circle, died Jan. 19, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
He was a retired deputy comptroller at Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Virginia Beach. Mr. Derring was also a member of Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club and was a naval veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Helen R. Derring; one niece; and two nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Ted A. James in Princess Anne Memorial Park. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
