CRIME LINE FBI SEEKS TWO MEN

Local police are asking public assistance in solving these cases:

FBI SEEKS TWO MEN

The FBI is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of two men who, along with seven other suspects already in custody, were charged with transporting cocaine between Hampton Roads and other East Coast locations.

Frederick Bingley, 29, who is also known as ``Male'' and ``Prince,'' is described as black, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 170 pounds. He has black hair, possibly in braids, and brown eyes.

George R. Wilson, 29, who is also know as ``Fat George'' and George Harris, and is a former New York City bus driver.

He is described as black, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 315 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Bingley and Wilson are considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts should call Norfolk FBI office at 455-0100.

On Monday, Dec. 18, about 9 a.m., a man robbed the Pizza Hut delivery shop

VIRGINIA BEACH on Lynnhaven Parkway in the Parkway Shopping Center.

Two days later on Wednesday, Dec. 20, about 8 p.m., the same man is believed responsible for the robbery of the Twin-B Auto store on Holland Road at Governors Way.

He is described as black, in his 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 170 pounds, with short black hair and a thin mustache.

NORFOLK

On Dec. 15, just before 8:30 p.m., a woman was assaulted and robbed as she entered her apartment in the 1300 block of Colonial Avenue.

The suspect is described as black, 30, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 165 pounds. He had a mustache and was unshaven.

He was wearing a dark green cap with ear flaps and an olive green field jacket. He was armed with a knife.

On Jan. 8, 1996, at 4 a.m., the 7-11 store in the 1000 block of E. Bayview Blvd. was robbed by two gunmen.

One suspect is described as black, about 30, between 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a medium build and mustache.

The other suspect was described as white, in his 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build.

He was wearing a red, hooded jacket.

Joe Roman, 41, is wanted by the Immigration and Naturalization Service for federal firearms violations and jumping bond.

Roman is described as Mexican, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 210 pounds. His last known address was in the 900 block of Cecilia St. in Norfolk. He is also known to frequent the 4900 block of Great Lake Drive in Virginia Beach.

CHESAPEAKE

Samuel Darryel Todd, 28, is wanted by the Sheriff's Department Fugitive Squad for violation of probation stemming from a possession of cocaine charge.

Todd is described as black, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 165 pounds.

Richard L. Matthews, 20, is wanted by the Sheriff's Department Fugitive Squad on charges of possession of cocaine.

Matthews is described as white, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds.

SUFFOLK

Early on the morning of Jan. 18, thieves climbed into a 1982 GMC pickup, parked on Eugena St., by crawling through a side window in the camper shell.

The thieves took a large quantity of fishing tackle, including four Penn rod and reels, two Daiwa rod-and-reel combinations, one Shimano spin reel combination, two other rod and reels and a large tackle box. The missing items were valued at more than $1,000.

HAMPTON

One[sic] Dec. 15, about 1:30 a.m., a man was walking on Back River Road near Pembroke Avenue when he was approached from behind.

A man armed with a black, semi-automatic handgun, demanded that the victim hand over his jacket, shoes and food stamps.

The suspect then ran south on Back River Road.

The robber is described as black with a dark complexion, in his early 20s, 5 feet 10 inches tall with a stocky build.

He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, dark pants and brown leather boots. ILLUSTRATION: Photos
