Marshall ``Pete'' Arnold Poindexter, 71, of the 1600 block of Dearborn Drive, died Jan. 20, 1996, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Mr. Poindexter was born in Richmond and retired as owner and operator of Anthony Fastner Co. in 1985 after 40 years. He was a member of Virginia Beach Community Chapel, American Legion Post 113, and the Forty and Eight. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Belva Johnson Poindexter; a son, James A. ``Tag'' Poindexter of Virginia Beach; and a foster son, James E. Hurston of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Avenue Chapel, by the Rev. Larry E. Shoaf. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 tonight in the funeral home. American Legion Post 113 rites will be accorded at the grave.
