Emma G. Evans, 97, of the 4900 block of Narragansett Drive, died Jan. 21, 1996, in Lynn Shores Manor, Virginia Beach.
She was a member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church, Chesapeake.
She is survived by a daughter, V. Rivers Poythress of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mary Holt Chapman of Virginia Beach; a grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk, with the Rev. Willis Dowling presiding. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
