Annie Nelms Wadford, 94, of the 4200 block of Dartmouth St., died Sunday, Jan. 21, 1996, in her residence.
Mrs. Wadford was a native of Nash County, N.C., and was the widow of Aaron D. Wadford. She was a member of Alexander Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary W. Clark, and a son, Gene T. Wadford, both of Portsmouth; a sister, Mary E. Long of Rocky Mount, N.C.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Alan G. Moor. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
