Lionel Augusta West, 74, of the 1400 block of Gabriel Dr., died Jan. 22, 1996 in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. West was born in Norfolk and was an accountant for Texaco. He retired after 34 years of employment. He was a member of Ferebee-Halstead United Methodist Church.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of D.A.V., and American Vets.
Survivors include his wife, Mary West of Norfolk; a son, Dr. L. Warren West of Williamsburg; three brothers, Berlyn West of Virginia Beach, Trevor West and Virgil West, both of Norfolk; and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1996 at 1 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel.
