ANNA S. SMITH

Anna Mae Scott Smith died Jan. 20, 1996, in Obici Hospital.

She was a native of Nansemond County and was retired from the Suffolk Public School System as a bus driver. She was a member of Christian Home Baptist Church, Windsor, and was involved in the usher board.

Survivors include a son, Nathan Smith of Suffolk; a foster daughter, Nakkia McCalla of Fort Washington, Md.; a foster son, Ruben Scott of Chesapeake; a sister, Lucille Williams of Smithfield; and two grandchildren, Nathan Michael and Ariel Smith.

The funeral will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday in Christian Home Baptist Church by the Rev. Wendell M. Waller. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday. There will be a wake at 5:15 p.m. Thursday in Christian Home Baptist Church. The family will assemble at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at 5744 Godwin Blvd., Suffolk. Tynes-Edwards and Shivers Funeral Home, Smithfield, is in charge.
