Police are investigating the death of a man who was found seriously injured in the Park Place neighborhood early Monday.
Police spokesman Larry Hill said officers and rescue personnel were called to the 800 block of W. 36th Street at 3:57 a.m. When they entered a house there, they found the injured man.
The man, who appeared to be in his 30s, died at the scene. Hill did not elaborate on the injuries.
The body was taken to the Norfolk crime lab to determine the cause of death. The investigation is continuing.
