Margaret Carawan McCarty, 76, of the 900 block of Suburban Parkway, died Jan. 23, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
She was a native of Swanquarter, N.C. She was a retired clerk for Tom Thumb Cleaners.
Survivors include a son, Woody L. Holton of Acworth, Ga.; and two grandchildren, Kerry and Vincent Holton.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Gene Primm. The family will be at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
