SUZANNE L. PRITCHETT

Suzanne Leclaire Pritchett, 51, of 305 Hofler Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 1996, in Pitt Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Miami, Fla., and was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, a graduate of Old Dominion University, a member of the Board of Directors of the Historic Hope Foundation and Past Chairman of the Hope Ball. Mrs. Pritchett taught school for the public school system of Virginia Beach and at the Dependent School at Ft. Benning, Ga. She also taught in the Forsyth and Martin County Schools in North Carolina until 1973. After her teaching career, she devoted full time to raising her family and to religious community activities.

She is survived by her husband, William W. Pritchett Jr. of Windsor; three daughters, Amy Louise Pritchett of Greenville, N.C, Stacy Elaine Pritchett of Windsor, and Lynn Leclaire Pritchett of Raleigh; father, Capt. George Leclaire U.S. Navy (Ret.) of Maitland, Fla.; step-mother, Katherine Leclaire of Maitland; and three brothers, Robert Leclaire of Orlando, Fla., Peter Leclaire of Eustis, Fla., Capt. Christopher Leclaire of Jacksonville, Fla. She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Nagel Leclaire and her brother, Tommy Leclaire.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church Parrish House. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, is in charge of the arrangements. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church by the Rev. Barbara Chaffee. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
