A special NAACP task force assigned to address white supremicist activity in and around North Carolina military bases will be in Elizabeth City on Monday.
The task force will tour and meet with officials at the Coast Guard base, and at 6:30 p.m. join a hospitality session at Mount Lebanon AME Zion Church.
A discussion will be held at 7 p.m. to gauge the racial climate and identify white supremicist activities in and around the Coast Guard base.
The task force was formed after two African Americans were shot and killed in a racially motivated attack last month near Fort Bragg in Fayetteville.
