SUFFOLK CRIME REPORT

DISTRICT A

Armed robbery, Bradford and Camellia drives, Dec. 23, someone was approached by a large group of men. Wearing dark clothes and skull caps and displaying a pistol, they demanded that he get on the ground. They removed a pair of Nike tennis shoes valued at $75, a black sports watch valued at $20, a brown, quarter-length leather coat valued at $84, and $20.

A friend accompanying the victim was robbed of a pair of Timberlake boots valued at $150, and $50.

Breaking and entering, 1500 block Bayberry Lane, Dec. 24, someone entered a residence by forcing open a back door. Christmas gifts were removed, including a Panasonic VCR, an RCA VCR, an RCA VHS camcorder, a Magnavox VHS compact camcorder, a JVC compact component stereo system - including a receiver, CD player and tape player - a Canon 35 mm AE1 camera and one green velvet jewelry box containing several pieces of jewelry. Most of the electronic equipment had this number engraved on it: 227-66-6367.

Breaking and entering, Burbage Drive, Dec. 30, someone cut the padlock off a trailer and removed a wet/dry vacuum valued at $50, an 18-inch chain saw valued at $223, and a black AT&T telephone valued at $40.

Breaking and entering, 6000 block College Drive, Dec. 30, a man who had been away from home discovered an open window. Several dressers had been ransacked.

Assault, 4800 block Sleepy Hole Road, Jan. 2, someone allegedly assaulted his wife with a cordless phone. A laceration required three stitches.

DISTRICT B

Breaking and entering, 6700 block Girl Scout Road, Dec. 26, someone cut a hole to enter a construction compound and removed a 7-inch Porter cable grinder, a Milwaukee Sawzill industrial jigsaw, a Weedeater leaf blower, a Skil brand skillsaw, a Porter cable saw and a Bosch hammer drill box containing numerous drill bits.

Grand larceny, 200 block Holbrook Arch, Dec. 28, someone entered the garage of a house under construction and removed a Honda electric generator with the letters ``HC'' painted on it and a General 6500 model electric generator valued at $2,507 with the letters ``CRA'' painted in yellow on it.

DISTRICT C

Breaking and entering, 2300 block Godwin Blvd., between Dec. 16 and 23, someone entered a shed/garage and removed a pair of Barbie skates, size 3, valued at $26, a Baby Sip-N-Slurp valued at $23.99, a Collegiate 1000 typewriter valued at $15.86, and a Peanut Panic game valued at $19.97. These items had been stored for Christmas.

Breaking and entering, 700 block Battery Ave., Dec. 29, someone removed hinges from a locked shed and removed a white, '89 Yamaha YZ-80 dirt bike valued at $500.

Lost/stolen, 2300 block Godwin Blvd., Dec. 29, someone reported two Virginia independent dealer tags missing.

Hit and run, 500 block Ashley Ave., Dec. 30, someone driving a car struck a person riding a bike and refused to stop.

Breaking and entering, 800 block North Main St., Jan. 2, someone removed state inspection stickers. An office desk was opened and empty money bags removed.

Petty larceny, 1500 block North Main St., Jan. 2, someone pumped $7.06 worth of fuel and left without paying.

Petty larceny, 200 block Bedford Place, Jan. 3, someone removed a royal blue, 26-inch Sears brand bicycle from a back yard.

DISTRICT D

Armed robbery, 400 block Woodruff St., Dec. 24, someone approached a man in his front yard, wished him a ``Merry Christmas'' and displayed a razor-type weapon. He stated, ``Give me your money.'' He cut the victim, causing a 10-inch laceration to his arm and a 4-inch laceration to his face. The victim was struck in the shoulder with a metal pipe. The assailant fled.

Petty larceny, 200 block Oak St., Dec. 26, someone entered an '84 Renault Alliance and removed a Virginia state inspection sticker.

Breaking and entering, 100 block Morgan St., Dec. 28, someone entered a house through a window and removed a brown, wooden jewelry music box valued at $250.

Breaking and entering, 400 block Beamons Mill Trail, Jan. 1, someone entered a house and ransacked a dresser.

Breaking and entering, 1000 block Truman Road, Jan. 2, someone kicked open the rear door of a house. The house was ransacked and a living room table broken.

Breaking and entering, 600 block Carolina Road, Jan. 2, someone entered a warehouse and cut the lock off a storage room containing cases of liquor.

DISTRICT E

Breaking and entering, 4200 block Holland Road, Dec. 26, someone remained behind in a store after closing. Money was removed from a cash register and money box.

Petty larceny, 7500 block Elwood Road, Dec. 28, someone removed a Motorola pager from a living room.

Breaking and entering, 1500 block Holland Road, Dec. 28, someone broke into a business through a second-story window and removed $100 in U.S. currency and $900 in checks payable to the Alliance Animal Hospital.

Grand larceny, 1500 block Holland Road, Dec. 30, someone removed from a business a white and green Sea-Doo SPX jet ski valued at $5,500 and a jet ski trailer valued at $400.

Larceny, 1500 block Holland Road, Dec. 30, someone removed a Beretta Model P 12 gauge shotgun from a vehicle.

Petty larceny, 1500 block Holland Road, Jan. 3, someone pumped $11.09 worth of gas into a '94 Chevrolet pickup truck and left without paying.

DISTRICT F

Breaking and entering, 1200 block Carolina Road, Jan. 1, someone entered a warehouse.

Grand larceny, 2700 block Freeman Mill Road, Jan. 2, someone removed a blue, '87 Ford Ranger pickup truck. by CNB
