Jonest Jones, 84, of the 600 block of South Jefferson St., died Jan. 21, 1996, in Fairview Hospital, Dublin.
Mr. Jones, the widower of Bessie Martin Jones, was a native of Dublin. He was a member and deacon for 50 years of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Dublin. He was a Mason, Prince Hall Affiliate.
Survivors include two daughters, Sadie M. Washington of Portsmouth and Nettie M. Murphy of Miami, Fla.; a son, Jerry Jones of Dublin; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Tabernacle Baptist Church by the Rev. Anthony Q. Corbett. Burial will be in Dudley Cemetery, Dublin. Dudley Funeral Home, Dublin, is in charge of arrangements. Information furnished by Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
