Donner E. Winslow of Norfolk, died on Jan. 18, 1996. He was born on Nov. 2, 1952, at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
He graduated from Crestwood High School of Chesapeake in 1970. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Winslow completed the Norshipco Welding Apprentice School and became a nomadic welder with local shipyards until his health failed him.
He leaves with wonderful memories his favorite cousins, Brenda and Lavari Revils, Damonte and Curtis Bradby; his best friend, Gail Walker; and his sisters, Shakisha Winslow and Alfreda Revils of Norfolk. He is also survived by his mother, Juanita Santiful of Norfolk; his father and step-mother, Solomon and Barbara Winslow; and his sister, Daniella Winslow of Chesapeake; a brother, Cornell, and his family, Teresa, Cornell Jr. and Christopher Winslow of Norfolk. He is survived by his aunt, Frances W. Revils of Norfolk and a host of relatives and friends who will miss his encouraging words and friendly smile.
A wake will be held at Saint Paul CME Church, 310 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, on Saturday, Jan. 27, 1996, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. T.R. McKenney officiating. Burial ceremonies will be held at sea with military honors at a later date.
