Hinton B. Tucker, 72, of the 1200 block of Rugby St. died Jan. 23, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. Tucker was a native of Greenville, N.C. He was the son of Mrs. Lillie Wooten and the late Robert Tucker. He was employed at The Virginian-Pilot and retired because of his health after 35 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Tucker; two sons, Hinton Tucker of Aliso Viego, Calif. and George Tucker of Richmond, Calif.; daughters, Bronda Burney of Norfolk; his mother, Lillie Wooten of Greenville, N.C.; six brothers; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins; and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Monday by the Rev. James Anderson in New Hope United Church of Christ, 145 E. Liberty St., Norfolk. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be placed in church at 10 a.m. the day of the service. Graves Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
