She was born in Fayetteville.
She is survived by her mother, Kimberly Hughes Phillips; father, Capt. James W. Phillips of the United States Army, both of Fayetteville; grandmothers, Marge Hughes of Norfolk, Joy Phillips of Falls Church, Va.; great-grandmother, Georgia Morton of Ashland, Mo.; aunts and uncles, Rueben and Jeanne Smith of Chesapeake, William J. and Kathy Phillips of Blacksburg, Va., Joe and Debbie Smith of San Diego, Calif., Stephen and Leslie Roberson of Christiansburg, Va., Terry and Susan Hill of Fairfax, Va.; and a host of relatives and friends.
A Joyful Mass will be celebrated at noon Saturday by Fr. John J. Dorgan in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Duke University Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
