Charles A. Daugherty
CHESAPEAKE - U. S. Army (Ret.) Chief Warrant Officer 3, Charles A. Daugherty, 57, died Jan. 24, 1996, in a Hampton Hospital.
He was retired from the Army after 25 years of service. He was a native of McKeesport, Pa., and a member of Christ Gospel Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Toby A. Daugherty; two sons, Charles A. Daugherty of Hampton, Va., Dale O. Daugherty of Chesapeake; mother, Hazel F. Daugherty of McKeesport, Pa.; six grandchildren, Michael D. Daugherty, Hannah K. Daugherty, Brandon A. Daugherty, Nicolas W. Daugherty, Joshua D. Barrell, and Carley N. Daugherty. He was predeceased by his father, George H. Daugherty.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Ted Richardson in Christ Gospel Church. Burial is in Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Christ Gospel Church, P.O. Box 64757, 5121 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, 23467. Military honors will be accorded at the graveside.
