Barnabus L. Warren
PORTSMOUTH - Barnabus Leory Warren, of the 100 block of Mt. Vernon Ave., died Jan. 23, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General.
He was a security guard for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a native of Norfolk and he attended Discipleship Church. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corp., Embassy Duty.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Bragg Warren of Portsmouth; father, Andrew L. Warren Sr. of Gary, Ind.; three sisters, Bettina Brown of Portsmouth, Karine Warren of Chesapeake, Dawn Warren of Portsmouth; six brothers, James, Henry, Andrew Jr., Aaron Warren, Joseph Coburn, all of Gary, Ind., Shamus Warren of Chesapeake; maternal grandmother, Esther Sledge of New York City; special devoted friends, Jacque Larue and Elizabeth Woods; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday by Bishop Anthony Moses in New Discipleship Church. Burial is in Olive Branch Cemetery. The remains will be ready Saturday at 3 p.m. The family will assemble at 101 Mt. Vernon Ave., Portsmouth, at 12:30 p.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
