Rodney Leland Olson, 36, of Norfolk, died Jan. 27, 1996, at Lake Taylor Hospital.
Mr. Olson was born Nov. 10, 1959, in Lynchburg, the son of Boyd R. and Rena Ramsey Olson. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1978 and from the University of Virginia in 1982. He was employed by North Landing Line Construction Co. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving in addition to his parents who live in Staunton, are a sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Tony Caywood of Staunton; two aunts and their husbands, Marie and Matt Loehmer of Virginia Beach and Helen and Charles Gowen of Palmyra; and a nephew, Chase Caywood.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. L. Randolph Harrison officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Amherst Cemetery, Amherst.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Hamrick Funeral Home in Staunton.
