DEDICATED WORKERS

I have seen many letters recognizing The Virginian-Pilot, its carriers and the mail carriers during our recent snowstorm, but there are other people whom the public has failed to recognize for their services.

I deeply appreciate the Chesapeake Police Department, the Chesapeake Fire Department (firefighters and paramedics) and the Virginia State Police for their dedication to the public during these times, as well as the rest of the time. These folks are to be appreciated and praised for their services. This goes for the rest of the police and fire departments in the area also.

We who depend on these wonderful, dedicated people need to praise them more. They just don't get the praise that they deserve.
