Rae E. McLendon, 84, died Dec. 28, 1995, in a nursing home.
Mrs. McLendon was born in Norfolk and was the widow of Henry McLendon. She was a member and mother of Zion AME Church in New York and was vice president of the Ladies Aid Society and Church Class (NU)12.
She is survived by a host of cousins and friends, Iris Spruill, Wilhelminia Hurst, Catherine Carr, Norman Francis Jr. of Norfolk.
A funeral was held Jan. 3 at 10 a.m. in Griffin-Peters Funeral Home by the Rev. Durant. Burial was in Long Island National Cemetery. Information was provided by Hale Funeral Home, Norfolk.
