Herbert Harvey Davis Jr., 67, of the 900 block of Jewell Ave., died Jan. 28, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Davis was a native of Plymouth, N.C., and was retired as a boiler tender from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of DAV Chapter (NU)41 and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Carolyn Brickhouse Davis; two daughters, Sarah D. Crawford of Portsmouth and Elizabeth Mamie Moore of Chesapeake; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Kenneth Bryant. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
