Clyde McCoy Kennedy Jr., 73, of 651 River Walk Parkway, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Kennedy was born in Portsmouth and was the son of the late Clyde McCoy Kennedy Sr. and Lula Maude Phelps Kennedy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Green Cove Springs, Fla.
Mr. Kennedy retired as a systems analyst with the Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Fla. after 20 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Bettie Marie Thompson Kennedy; two daughters, Pamela Ruth Kennedy Johnson and her husband Rev. Edward H. Johnson, both of Buena Vista, Va. and Joy Arlene Calahan of Stone Mountain, Ga.; his son, Clyde M. ``Mac'' Kennedy III and his wife Melissa L. Kennedy, both of Chesapeake; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Edward H. Johnson. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening.
