Robert H. Shockley, age 63, of the 700 block of Inlet Quay, died at his home Jan. 29, 1996, after a long illness.
He was born in Endicott, N.Y. He owned and operated the Gold Shack Jewelers in Portsmouth, Va., for 10 years. He was a former member of Moose Lodge (NU)898 and VFW Post (NU)993.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; a daughter and her husband, Robin and Bryan Hagwood of Portsmouth; a daughter, Christy L. McLeod of Virginia Beach; two sons, Bruce R. Shockley and Mark H. Shockley, both of Buena Park, Calif.; four stepsons, Jay Grimes, Keith Grimes and Mark Grimes, all of Portsmouth, and John Grimes of Virginia Beach; and eight grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Dr. David R. Denny officiating. The family will be at the residence, 720 C Inlet Quay, Chesapeake, Va. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
