Frank Hudgins, left in top photo, and Elizabeth Plymell, who are on
the staff of the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island, inject
an antibiotic into a young harbor seal at the aquarium's marine
mammal rehabilitation facility Monday. The seal, suffering from
pneumonia, is believed to be less than a year old. It was found on a
Hatteras Island beach. After being medicated, the seal was placed in
a tank at the aquarium (right) to recuperate.
