Donald Everette Johnson, 51, died Jan. 29, 1996.
Mr. Johnson, a former used car manager and retired pipefitter with Norfolk Shipbuilding and Drydock Corp, was a native of Norfolk County. He had a heart of gold and was a friend to all who knew him.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Matin of Anaheim, Calif.; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty J. and James Trueblood of Chesapeake; a granddaughter, Savannah Matin of Anaheim; a niece Martha Anne Trueblood of Chesapeake. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Wesley Everette Johnson and Eunice Elizabeth Edwards Johnson.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Riverside Memorial Park by the Rev. Pete Taylor. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 6 to 7 p.m. today.
