Martha Howard Gibson, 50, of the 3900 block of George Washington Highway, died Monday Jan. 29, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Gibson, a native of Marion, Va., was employed at Portsmouth Police Dept. as a security supervisor for 19 years. She was a member of Victory Boulevard Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Aron Gibson of Portsmouth; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Mayloyed of Marion; two cousins, J.P. Crewey of Atkins, Va., Loretta Hubble of Midlothian, Va.; an aunt, Ruby Crewey of Atkins.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Mark Karika. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
