Ann Williford Johnson Frank, 44, beloved wife of George J. Frank Jr., died Jan. 29 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mrs. Frank was born in Sampson Co., N.C., and graduated from East Carolina University.
Mrs. Frank had lived in Portsmouth for over 25 years and retired in September 1994 as a teacher and chairman of the math department at W.E. Waters Middle School in Portsmouth. She was a member of Eta Mu Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.
She is survived by her husband, George J. Frank Jr.; her mother, Eva Williford of Autryville, N.C.; her sister, Barbara Yow, and her niece, Elyce Yow, of Clinton, N.C.; and her uncle, Lloyd F. Sessoms of Autryville. She was the widow of Lucian A. Johnson of Portsmouth.
Services will be held today at 3 p.m. in Alexander Baptist Church, 3801 Turnpike Rd., by Rev. Alan G. Moor.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. in Pleasant Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Roseborough, N.C., by Rev. Roger Jackson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the LifeNet Memorial Fund, 5809 Ward Court, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is in charge of arrangements.
