MARGARET D. BROWN

Margaret Dix Brown, 99, formerly of 7415 Gleneagles Road, a retired Norfolk school teacher, died Jan. 24, 1996, in Williamsburg.

Mrs. Brown was a native of Irvington, Va. She was the widow of Joseph D. Brown. She was a member of Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Norfolk. Mrs. Brown had taught at James Madison and Meadowbrook Elementary Schools. She was a graduate of Mary Washington College. She was a member of Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughter Circle.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Donald Stocking of Arcadea, Calif.; a son, Dr. Joseph D. Brown of Williamsburg; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Saturday Feb. 3, 1996 in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Ross Wright. The family will receive friends at her former residence. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, will be handling the arrangements.
