DISTRICT A

Assault, 4800 block Sleepy Hole Road, Jan. 2, a man struck his wife in the head with a cordless phone.

Breaking and entering, 4200 block Coltrane Ave., Jan. 4, someone entered a house through a window and removed four shirts valued at $120; two pairs of pants, $96; and two pairs of shoes, $100.

Carjacking, 6000 block Camellia Drive, Jan. 11, someone making a food delivery was invited inside what turned out to be a vacant residence. As he entered, a second person came out from behind the door and pointed a small-caliber firearm at driver, who was robbed of currency and jewelry.

Breaking and entering, 2700 block Burning Tree Lane, Jan. 12, someone broke into a residence by kicking open the back door. The house was ransacked, and a

Grand larceny, Armistead Road, between Dec. 23, 1995, and Jan. 15, 1996, an 8-horsepower Honda motor was removed from a cement/mortar mixer inside a fenced compound.

Petty larceny, 4700 block Camellia Drive, Jan. 16, someone reported both Virginia license plates removed from a vehicle.

DISTRICT B

Petty larceny, 3500 block Pruden Blvd., someone pumped $5 worth of gas and left without paying.

Lost/stolen, 4400 block Godwin Blvd., Jan. 10, someone removed a city sticker from a disabled vehicle.

Bomb threat, 3300 block Nansemond Parkway, Jan. 16, someone called Nansemond River High School and stated: ``The school is going to blow.'' The fire department responded, and the school was vacated.

DISTRICT C

Breaking and entering, 800 block North Main St., Jan. 2, someone broke into a gas station and removed a box of state inspection stickers.

Petty larceny, 1500 block North Main St., someone pumped fuel and left without paying.

Petty larceny, 200 block Bedford Place, Jan. 3, someone removed a royal blue, 26-inch Sears brand bicycle from a back yard.

Petty larceny, 800 block Washington St., Jan. 4, someone pumped $23.44 worth of fuel into a white van and left without paying.

Armed robbery, 2300 block Pruden Blvd., Jan. 4, a woman threatened a man with a razor, demanding money. The victim received minor injuries during a fight, and the robber fled with an envelope containing $250.

Hit and run, Smith Street and Eley Court, Jan. 10, someone driving a white, '78 full size van struck a Suffolk City garbage truck and left without stopping.

Petty larceny, 200 block Saratoga St., Jan. 16, someone broke a vent window on the passenger side of an '85 Chevy pickup truck and removed a Virginia state inspection sticker.

DISTRICT D

Breaking and entering, 1000 block Truman Road, Jan. 2, someone kicked open a rear door to enter a house. The residence was ransacked and a table was broken.

Breaking and entering, 600 block Carolina Road, Jan. 2, someone cut off the lock to enter a warehouse room containing liquor.

Grand larceny, 1000 block Portsmouth Blvd., Jan. 9, someone entered a business and removed a 5-foot-8-inch drill press, a 150,000 BTU blower, a heater, a tool box and four 6-foot aluminum scaffold boards.

Grand larceny, 400 block County St., Jan. 10, someone removed a 20-foot container trailer and chassis displaying an Oregon registration.

Grand larceny, 2100 block Georgia Ave., Jan. 11, someone entered a vehicle and removed a 380 Davis handgun.

Petty larceny, 300 block Cedar St., Jan. 12, someone removed an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Grand larceny, 600 block Spruce St., Jan. 12, someone left a two-door, '93 Geo Metro in a driveway, unattended and with the motor running. When she returned, the car was missing.

Petty larceny, 100 block North Main St., Jan. 13, someone observed a man take a package of socks, hide them inside his jacket and leave a store. The man opened the package, took out two pair and left the remainder behind.

Grand larceny, 100 block South Sixth St., Jan. 15, someone removed a red Snapper 4-tire tiller and a blue Lowes push mower from a smokehouse in the back yard of a residence.

Larceny, 100 block North Division St., Jan. 15, someone removed a .32 caliber Smith & Wesson long, RG Model 31 from a residence.

Larceny, 200 block Halladay St., Jan. 16, someone removed a chrome .25 caliber Raven Arms semi-automatic handgun from a residence.

Breaking and entering, 1000 block Portsmouth Blvd., Jan. 16, someone entered a business through a window and removed five chairs and a Brothers typewriter.

Armed robbery, Cogic Square, Jan. 16, a group of six to seven men approached a woman while she was using a pay phone. One of the men put a gun to her head while another reached into her pocket and removed $50.

DISTRICT E

Petty larceny, 1500 block Holland Road, Jan. 3, someone pumped $11.09 worth of fuel into a vehicle and left without paying.

DISTRICT F

Grand larceny, 2700 block Freeman Mill Road, Jan. 2, someone removed a blue '87 Ford Ranger pick up truck from a residence without permission.

Grand larceny, 2100 Holland Road, Jan. 5, someone removed a Virginia state inspection sticker and four tires with rims from a vehicle.

Breaking and entring, 6400 block Whaleyville Blvd., Jan. 9, someone entered a business after closing and removed 80 pounds of fresh fish valued at $400 contained in two red coolers valued at $25 each. Also removed were 10 canned goods valued at $8. Estimated damage was $150.

Petty larceny, 2000 block Holland Road, Jan. 11, someone removed personalized license plates with the name ``DERON'' from a vehicle under repair. by CNB
